BREAKFAST IS NOT A LUXURY, IT’S A NECESSITY
Buscuits for BreakfastIMAGINE Being a second, third, fourth or fifth grader and having to walk 12 miles to get to school. You leave home at 6am in order to arrive by 8:00am. You don't eat breafkast because there is no breakfast to eat. You walk through bush, swatting bugs and hope there are no animals you have to fend off too.

IMAGINE Getting to school and like breakfast, there's nothing to wat for lunch, There's no school cafeteria or money to buy anything.

FOR NEARLY 700 students at the Mkokozi primary school, just outside of Dar Es Salaam , Tanzania, they don't have to IMAGINE such a scenario. They live it everyday.

Biscuits for BreakfastIN MARCH OF 2007, members of the Friendships Between Women met those children and IMAGINED that we could do something about it!

we teamed up with African Reflections, and for 70.00 dollars, we fed those children, nearly 700 kids.

The breakfast was such a success we decided not to make it a one day event, but an everyday occurrence. We call it BISCUITS FOR BREAKFAST

Now we would like you to IMAGINE doing the same thing - feeding the children.

Remember, breakfast is not a luxury, it's a necessity. For more information about BISCUITS FOR BREAKFAST program Just Click Here.
